There are never too many cooks in the kitchen when you are partying with Team Winnipeg

"There are never too many cooks in the kitchen when you are partying with Team Winnipeg" was the theme for an evening of culinary capers for 21 clients, 10 Team Winnipeg partners and 3 Tourism Winnipeg representatives, including TW’s own Masterchef Canada contestant Mike Green, at Urban Element Kitchen in Ottawa this past September.

Clients had a blast collecting personal recipe cards and contact info from partners, and everyone felt the heat in the kitchen during intense plating competitions at four different Manitoba-inspired food stations. Prizes were handed out and shmoo torte (a legendary Winnipeg dessert) was devoured. On top of that, everyone raved about the signature cocktails served, featuring Manitoba’s own 2016 Whisky of the Year: Crown Royal’s Northern Harvest Rye.

“I just wanted to send my thanks for an absolutely wonderful time last night. I was telling Racaen that it’s the best destination-hosted event I’ve been to in Ottawa. The format was super creative and a great way to meet and learn about the venues and services in your city. Congratulations to you and all of the Tourism Winnipeg partners!” – Shawn Watson, communications manager, Canadian Apprenticeship Forum
