The Residence Inn -Fairfield Inn officially opened on March 1, 2019 with the addition of the Residence Inn and the renovation of the Fairfield Inn. The Fairfield Inn features 138 comfortable rooms with a modern design and the Residence Inn features 122 spacious studio and one-bedroom suites with separate living and sleeping areas, all with fully equipped kitchenettes.
Both hotels offer a complimentary full breakfast and give you access to an exercise room with a stunning view of downtown Winnipeg, and a pool with a waterpark.

For your short-term delegate that’s coming in for one or two nights, you have the fully-renovated Fairfield. If you’re staying for five or more nights, the Residence Inn side offers extended-stay, larger suite options where you can feel right at home and even cook your own meals if you want.
What are the key features of your meetings and event space?
The Residence Inn - Fairfield Inn offers 3,000 sq. ft. of meeting space with room for up to 200 delegates in reception. With floor to ceiling windows, high-speed internet, custom catering options and audio/visual capabilities, the space can be transformed into a number of layouts to fit your specific meeting or event.
the Poplar and Spruce meeting rooms, named after the two largest trees indigenous to Manitoba, can also be subdivided. The Poplar Room offers a projection screens, while the Spruce Room offers two 70-inch flat screen television for all your presentation needs.
What can delegates do in and around the Residence Inn-Fairfield Inn?
Although we’re the furthest hotel from the airport in the St. James Conference and Hotel District, we’re the closest to Winnipeg’s downtown. You’re literally steps away from CF Polo Park for shopping, and minutes from The Forks and its attractions, Bell MTS Place arena and Assiniboine Park & Zoo.
We offer a free, 24-hour shuttle within a five-kilometre radius of the property, so you can easily get around to where you want to go. There are also 41 restaurant options within 3 blocks of the hotel.
Are there any special programs for guests that you offer?
We have our RI Runs program that gives guests a route for a three- or five-mile scenic run around the area. We also offer complimentary parking and convenient transportation to and from the airport with our free shuttle.

Any future plans you can share with us?
We actually just opened our 135-seat patio with fire pits and BBQs available for guests to use. It’s the perfect place to be during the summer! When you stay at either property, you’ll also have access to Lounge 204, featuring handcrafted cocktails and fresh, locally inspired food.
