Your Winnipeg meeting hubs

By: Meetings Winnipeg // February 22, 2019

When you're arranging your next meeting in Winnipeg, the hardest part of the planning process might be selecting a venue from among the city's excellent site options. You can find venues across Winnipeg's neighbourhoods that will exceed your expectations - in particular in our city's two main districts for meetings and conventions. Let one of these service providers help you plan your next event, and take advantage of some of the unique amenities each site can offer your delegates.

St. James Conference and Hotel District

With local amenities only minutes away, the St. James Conference and Hotel District is the perfect venue for hosting your next meeting. Some highlights include access to Assiniboine Park and its Journey to Churchill polar bear exhibit only minutes away, some of the city's best shopping at CF Polo Park, multiple local breweries to host after-hours events, and quick access to the airport.

Canad Inns Destination Centre Polo Park • features numerous meeting rooms, entertainment outlets, a waterslide and pool, this hotel is just steps from CF Polo Park – Winnipeg’s largest shopping centre.

The Grand Winnipeg Hotel by Lakeview • literally steps away from the airport terminal, The Grand is a stylish boutique hotel with lavish furnishing.  The onsite Blue Marble Restaurant and Lounge specializes in sustainable and locally grown fare.

Hilton Winnipeg Airport Suites • features spacious two-room suites and multiple meeting rooms ideal for business meetings, conferences and social functions. Enjoy urban prairie dining at Bistro 1800 where you can reserve a chef’s table for special occasions.

Holiday Inn Winnipeg Airport West • newly renovated property featuring suites and rooms with an excellent location that puts you right between the airport, CF Polo Park shopping centre and Assiniboine Park and Zoo.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Winnipeg • a modern hotel with spacious suites that provide a home away from home. Amenities include saltwater pool, outdoor barbecue area, free 24- hour shuttle.

Victoria Inn Hotel and Convention Centre • the newly expanded Grand Ballroom offers 25,000 square feet of dividable space, making it second only to the RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg in event space size. The hotel also features a relaxing corporate floor and executive suites.

Downtown

Winnipeg's downtown is the cultural heart of the city with no shortage of things to see and do, including a collection of stunning 19th century architecture to explore. These venues are within walking distance to hundreds of local restaurants, and riverwalk access twelve months of the year. In the winter, most properties are connected to the RBC Convention Centre via heated skywalk, so you can leave your outdoor coat behind.

Alt Hotel Winnipeg • downtown’s newest property is hip, happening and affordable. Located directly across the street from the Bell MTS Place, the Alt is also home to cool meeting spaces.

Delta Hotels by Marriott Winnipeg • one of Winnipeg’s most popular properties has recently seen millions of dollars in renovations. It is attached via a skywalk to both the RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg and Bell MTS Place.

Fairmont Winnipeg • Winnipeg’s luxury hotel, situated right on the iconic Portage and Main intersection, has everything you’re looking for in a premier property including a location that connects both the theatre district and downtown.

The Fort Garry Hotel, Spa and Conference Centre • a hotel teeming with Old World grandeur with castle-like architecture and known for their top quality food services. Its top floor houses Ten, a truly magisterial spa that features a Turkish bath and luxurious hamam treatments.

Inn at the Forks • featuring the stunning SMITH – a restaurant/lounge with excellent drinks and a gorgeous Hudson Bay Company inspired aesthetic, along with Riverstone Spa – which Air Canada’s enRoute has called one of the best hotel spas in Canada.

Radisson Winnipeg by Canad Inns • attached to Bell MTS Place and just steps from all of downtown’s action, Radisson Winnipeg features modern rooms – many with stunning views of the whole city – and rave-worthy service.
