Construction starts on $35-million hotel

Developers officially break ground on the city's latest hotel project

Have a convention coming to Winnipeg in 2017
or beyond? 

There’s a new accommodation option to consider located in a shopping hot spot that will impress delegates. Construction of a new hotel is underway on the 127-room Hilton Garden Inn Winnipeg South. Expected to open in summer 2017, the hotel will include 2,500 sq. ft. of meeting space.

Bonus: it’s located next to the province’s first premium-fashion outlet mall and across the street from retailers such as IKEA and Cabela’s, and is only a 15-minute drive from downtown. The $200-million Outlet Collection at Winnipeg will be an enclosed mall expected to open in spring 2017. Read More.
