Thinking Outside The Box - History in action at Fort Gibraltar

History in action at Fort Gibraltar

Thinking Outside The Box

Winnipeg has spaces of all sizes ready to welcome your meeting

By: Meetings Winnipeg // September 21, 2017 // Group Dining, Unique Offsite Venues

One of the best parts about visiting another city for a conference or meeting is getting the chance to explore some unique off-site venues; a chance to mix business with pleasure! Winnipeg has some great options for meeting planners looking to wow their clients. Check out these great ideas below:

Fort Gibraltar: where history comes alive

Host groups of up to 200 for a reception style event and be entertained by historical interpreters, snack on bannock made over the fire, watch the blacksmith create custom tools or try your hand at axe throwing.

The Forks: come together at The Common

This newly renovated space at The Forks is located in the heart of the city and is perfect for an after-meeting mixer. The Common serves a huge selection of local and craft brews, and guests can cap off the night with a walk along the river on groomed trails.

There are folks from all over the world marvelling at Winnipeg right now. It's an honour for our city to host the International Downtown Conference. #idawpg17 #winnipeg

University of Manitoba: for more than just learning

Winnipeg’s largest university has a room for every taste. Auditoriums, foyers, classrooms, theatres and everything in between for groups of 20 to 750, the University has flexible spaces that are ready to host your meeting or evening mixer events.
