Coming soon, a customized Winnipeg site visit will bring our city to your screen

By: Meetings Winnipeg // October 13, 2020

Winnipeg is always ready to innovate. When the global pandemic reached our prairie city, we quickly adapted our offerings and services. Like most of you, we felt the blow of COVID-19 on our event industry; however, we’re remaining positive and optimistic on our industry’s resiliency.

We know one of the crucial elements of bringing an event to Winnipeg is having you experience a site visit. With travel bans and restrictions across the country making in-person visits impossible, we wanted to find an alternative to safely showcase our meeting venues and highlight our amazing partners. Enter —the virtual site visit.

Moving to a virtual platform is a temporary way for us to engage with you in a customized site visit of our many venue offerings.  With all of our days filled with webinars and zoom meetings, we needed to ensure our virtual offering didn’t just become another link to click on. In true Winnipeg form, we kept it light, fun and quirky, instilling humor wherever we could with the help of our stellar partners.

Launching in late fall, our virtual site visit is customizable for those looking to experience Winnipeg from afar. With the ability to connect you with specific partners and their spaces, the site visit is a fun snapshot of an in-person visit, complete with city tour and cameos by Winnipeg personalities.

If you’re interested in signing up for Tourism Winnipeg’s virtual site visit, please reach out to grace@tourismwinnipeg.com – we'd love to host you!
